Hi, I am Kip.

I am a senior technologist with several years enterprise program management and complex problem solving experience, a writer and poet, an activist, and father to three extraordinary children (in no particular order).

I have over 25 years experience in innovative IT and information collaboration solutions. As an early adopter of online community tools (bbs, chat rooms, forums), I have created award winning websites and have helped connect people and share information for over 30 years. The last ten years of my 15 year tenure with IntelĀ® Corporation was spent helping change the culture of “Information is Power” to “Knowledge Sharing is Power” through pioneering new technologies and managing their enterprise collaboration platform until 2015.

I helped introduce the use of virtual server technologies at Intel proving their practicality and spearheaded corporate adoption of several open source solutions. I have managed extremely complex data migration projects combing data from multiple platforms and services.

I am always looking for an elegant solution to complex business problems and always with a foot or two in the future while practicing informed risk decision making.

I have successfully managed multi-disciplinary teams through complex enterprise deployments in an open and collaborative manner. I believe in mindful and well-researched decision making based on solid data and informed risk taking.

After leaving Intel in summer of 2015, I spent the next year developing a software platform to address food security issues by helping eliminate food waste and maximize the ease of sharing food that would otherwise be thrown out through the non-profit I founded : Move Food.

Most recently I have created enterprise program/portfolio management standards and critical emergency response strategies with deep documentation. I also evangelized the adoption of enterprise knowledge best practices and successfully mentored individuals and groups alike.

I have lent my skills to successful political and societal justice campaigns as a digital strategist as well as defining issues for accountability and transparency in government and working towards digital equity and inclusion for all. My creative approach to solving complex problems has won several high level recognitions and enabled me to work as a thought leader in many areas.

I believe strongly in free and open access to data and I am passionate about making it simple for people to engage with information in meaningful ways.

And thank you for coming by.
